Netwerkkabel S/CONN Cat 6 S/FTP 30 m rood

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN Cat 6 S/FTP 30m Red is a 30‑metre Ethernet cable designed for structured network installations that require Gigabit performance and improved interference protection. This Cat 6 cable uses S/FTP shielding (overall braid with individually foiled pairs) to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, and is terminated with RJ‑45 connectors featuring gold plating to maintain reliable signal contact. The cable’s red jacket provides clear visual identification in patching environments and cable runs.

Advantages

S/FTP construction offers enhanced protection against external electromagnetic noise and minimizes internal pair‑to‑pair crosstalk, supporting stable data transmission at high speeds. Gold‑plated RJ‑45 connectors improve corrosion resistance and contact reliability over repeated insertions. The 30 m length covers longer runs without the need for intermediate patch panels, while the visible red sheath simplifies cable management in racks, offices, or home networks.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers, and networked devices in offices and homes
• Wiring workstations and VoIP phones where shielded cabling is preferred
• Temporary or permanent runs requiring a distinct, easily traceable cable color

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat 6
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall braided shield with individually foiled pairs)
• Length: 30 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: Gold plated contacts
• Color: Red jacket for visual identification
• Typical use: Supports Gigabit Ethernet and high‑speed data transfer

How to use

Route the 30 m cable between network devices ensuring the shielding is continuous where required and connectors are fully inserted into RJ‑45 ports until the latch clicks. Avoid tight bends and excessive pulling force during installation to preserve electrical characteristics. For optimum shielding performance, verify grounded patch panels or shielded ports are used at termination points when connecting to shielded network equipment.

Recommendations

Use the cable in environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is desirable, and pair it with shielded switches or patch panels when possible. Inspect connectors before use and replace if pins appear damaged; avoid running the cable in parallel with high‑voltage power lines to minimize noise coupling.
