Netwerkkabel S/CONN Cat. 7 S/FTP 15 m rood Cat7 S/FTP

This ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN Cat. 7 S/FTP 15 m Red Cat7 S/FTP is a 15-metre Ethernet cable designed for high-speed, low-interference wired network connections. The cable uses S/FTP shielding — an overall braided screen combined with individually foil-wrapped pairs — to minimize electromagnetic and radio-frequency interference. RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts provide improved conductivity and corrosion resistance for consistent signal transmission over long runs.

Advantages

The S/FTP construction delivers enhanced protection against crosstalk and external noise, supporting stable throughput for demanding applications. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors reduce contact resistance and improve longevity compared to unplated contacts. The 15 m length offers flexibility for connecting devices across rooms or between network equipment racks without intermediate repeaters. The red jacket provides clear visual identification in structured cabling environments.

Suitable for

• High-speed LAN connections in homes and offices
• Connecting switches, routers, NAS devices and workstations
• Environments with potential electromagnetic interference (near power lines, industrial equipment)
• Structured cabling where color-coding is used for identification

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat. 7
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braided shield + individually foil-shielded pairs)
• Length: 15 metres
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Connector plating: gold-plated contacts
• Outer jacket colour: red

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 end to your network device (router, switch, network interface on a PC or NAS) and the other end to the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and heavy compression; maintain a bend radius consistent with Ethernet cable handling to preserve performance. Avoid running the cable parallel to unshielded power cables for long distances to minimize potential interference.

Recommendations

For best results use this Cat 7 S/FTP cable in environments that demand reduced interference and high throughput. Verify that connected equipment supports the required network speeds and that patch panels or keystone jacks are compatible with Cat 7 wiring. When installing permanently, use appropriate strain relief and cable management to prevent damage to connectors and shielding.
