Netwerkkabel S/CONN Cat. 7 S/FTP 3 m zwart

The ShiverPeaks Networking Cable S/CONN Cat. 7 S/FTP 3 m Black is a 3-meter Ethernet cable designed for high-speed network connections in home and office environments. The cable features S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors to support reliable data transmission and improved longevity. Its Cat. 7 performance class supports advanced networking applications and ensures compatibility with existing Ethernet equipment that accepts RJ-45 terminations.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding (overall braid with individually foiled pairs) reduces electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity over the entire 3 m length. Gold-plated RJ-45 connectors offer corrosion resistance and stable contact for repeated insertions. The cable’s construction and Cat. 7 specification provide higher bandwidth headroom compared with earlier cable categories, useful for demanding data transfer and low-latency applications. The black jacket offers a discreet appearance suitable for visible runs in both residential and professional setups.

Suitable for

• High-speed wired connections for PCs, NAS devices, and network switches
• Streaming 4K/8K video and large file transfers
• Low-latency online gaming and VoIP installations
• Professional and home office Ethernet wiring

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat. 7
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall braid with individually foiled pairs)
• Length: 3 m
• Connector type: RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Jacket color: Black
• Application: Suitable for Gigabit and multi-gigabit Ethernet

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 connector to your network device (router, switch, PC, or NAS) and the other end to the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to establish a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and mechanical stress; maintain bend radii in line with standard cabling practice to preserve signal quality. When replacing older or damaged cables, verify link speed and duplex settings on connected equipment after installation.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid running the S/CONN Cat. 7 S/FTP cable parallel to mains power cables or other strong EMI sources; use separate conduits or cross at right angles where necessary. Inspect connectors periodically for dust or corrosion and replace the cable if the outer jacket or shielding is physically damaged.
