S/CONN 2m RJ45 netwerkkabel grijs Cat6 S/FTP

The S/CONN 2m RJ45 networking cable Grey Cat6 S/FTP by ShiverPeaks is a 2-metre patch lead designed for structured cabling and Ethernet connections up to Cat6 performance. The cable uses S/FTP shielding and gold-plated RJ-45 connectors to provide stable signal transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference for typical home, office, and data-centre environments.

Advantages

S/FTP shielding combines foil and braided screens to minimise crosstalk and external interference, supporting more reliable high-speed data transfer. The gold-plated RJ-45 plugs improve contact quality and corrosion resistance, while the 2 m length offers flexibility in arranging networked devices without excess slack. The cable’s Category 6 construction supports Gigabit Ethernet speeds and maintains signal integrity over typical horizontal runs.

Suitable for

• Connecting PCs, routers and switches in home and office networks
• Wired Gigabit Ethernet connections for multimedia streaming and online gaming
• Patch-panel and rack connections in small server rooms and network closets
• Temporary or permanent cabling between networked devices where a 2 m lead is appropriate

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 performance for Ethernet networks
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid + individual pair foil)
• Connector type: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 2 metres
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding Ethernet ports on your devices until the latch clicks. Ensure both ends are securely seated in the ports on your router, switch, patch panel or network adapter. For best performance, avoid tight bends or kinks in the cable and keep it separated from sources of strong electromagnetic interference such as mains transformers or unshielded power cables.

Recommendations

To maintain signal quality, route the cable with gentle curves, avoid running it alongside high-voltage wiring, and confirm connectors are fully inserted. For installations requiring longer runs or higher performance categories, select appropriate cable lengths and ratings.
