S/CONN Cat.6 S/FTP netwerkkabel blauw 0,25 m

The ShiverPeaks S/CONN Cat.6 S/FTP Networking Cable Blue 0.25 m is a short patch cable designed for reliable Ethernet connections in environments where space is limited. Constructed to Cat6 specification with S/FTP shielding and RJ-45 connectors, this 0.25 m cable provides a compact solution for linking devices such as switches, patch panels, routers and networked equipment while reducing interference and maintaining signal integrity.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines an overall screen with individually shielded pairs to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, supporting consistent data throughput. Gold-plated RJ-45 contacts improve contact reliability and corrosion resistance for stable connections. The 0.25 m length minimizes excess cable clutter in dense racks or desktop setups, and the blue jacket provides clear visual identification in mixed-cable installations.

Suitable for

• Short patch connections between network devices in racks and enclosures
• Desktop connections where a compact cable is needed
• LAN setups requiring Cat6 performance for Gigabit Ethernet
• Environments where reduced interference is important (near power supplies or other cabling)

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 performance level
• Shielding type: S/FTP (overall shield with individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 with gold-plated contacts
• Length: 0.25 m
• Cable color: blue
• Intended use: Ethernet networking, patching, short links

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 plug into the Ethernet port of each device until the connector latches. Ensure the cable is not bent sharply near the connectors and avoid tensile stress to maintain contact integrity. Use the 0.25 m cable for short interconnections inside racks, between adjacent ports on switches or patch panels, or for tidy desktop connections. Verify link status on connected devices to confirm successful negotiation at the required speed.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, route the cable away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference and avoid running it in parallel with high-voltage power lines. In cabinets or dense patch fields, use the short 0.25 m length to reduce excess slack and maintain airflow. Inspect connectors periodically for wear and replace the cable if the jacket or contacts show signs of damage.
