Silex DS-700AC Ethernet WLAN draadloze USB-voeding Wi-Fi 5

The Silex DS-700AC is a wireless USB device server that provides Ethernet and WLAN connectivity for USB equipment. It supports Wi‑Fi 5 (802.11ac) and can be powered via USB, enabling connection of printers, webcams, speakers and other USB peripherals to a network while keeping networks isolated when required.

Advantages

Supports modern Wi‑Fi WPA3‑Enterprise and WPA3‑Personal as well as legacy WPA/WPA2 Enterprise/Personal modes to protect wireless communication. A USB 3.0 SuperSpeed port delivers higher data bandwidth than USB 2.0 device servers, increasing transfer and print speeds. The device server can present a connected printer using standard TCP/IP printing (LPR/RAW) and also supports isochronous USB transfers for devices such as webcams and USB audio. SX Virtual Link software enables remote access and coordinated sharing of attached USB devices. Multiple configuration options (Device Server Setup utility, integrated web configuration page, AMC Manager) simplify installation and management.

Suitable for

• Network printing with LPR or RAW protocols
• Sharing USB peripherals (printers, webcams, speakers) across office networks
• Environments requiring WPA3 enterprise wireless security
• Replacing legacy USB 2.0 device servers for higher bandwidth needs

How to use

Connect the DS‑700AC to a USB device you want to share and provide power via the USB power input. Join the DS‑700AC to your WLAN network using the integrated web configuration page, Device Server Setup utility or AMC Manager, selecting the required security mode (WPA3‑Enterprise / WPA2‑Enterprise / WPA‑Personal as appropriate). Install SX Virtual Link on client machines to access and request control of attached USB devices, or configure network printing on client PCs using LPR or RAW printing to the device server.

Recommendations

Use WPA3‑Enterprise when available for maximum wireless security in business environments. For devices that require continuous streaming (webcams, audio), ensure a stable 802.11ac connection and consider placing the DS‑700AC close to the access point to maintain bandwidth.
