SLIM Wirewin SLIM Tough STP Cat6 U/FTP-netwerkkabel, blauw, 5 m PKW-TOUGH-STP-K6 5.0 BL

Network technicians and IT administrators often face cramped patch panels and high-density server racks where standard cables simply won't fit. The SLIM Wirewin SLIM Tough STP Cat6 U/FTP Network Cable in blue solves that problem with a slender 4.0 mm outer diameter, making cable management in tight spaces effortless while still delivering full Cat6 performance. At 5 meters long, it bridges the gap between patch panel and switch without excess slack, and its shielded U/FTP construction keeps interference at bay even in electrically noisy environments.

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6 U/FTP (STP) – each pair individually shielded with overall foil for superior noise immunity
• Length: 5 meters – ideal for rack-to-rack or workstation connections
• Conductors: 28 AWG stranded copper for flexibility and reliable signal integrity
• Connectors: RJ45 male to RJ45 male, gold-plated contacts for corrosion resistance
• Performance: Supports up to 10 Gbps data transfer rates and 250 MHz bandwidth
• Jacket: Durable PVC, blue colour for easy identification
• Standards: RoHS and CE compliant

Why choose it

This slim patch cable is engineered for high-density environments. Its reduced diameter allows for better airflow and easier routing through cable managers, while the stranded copper conductors maintain flexibility without sacrificing performance. The U/FTP shielding provides excellent protection against alien crosstalk, making it suitable for 10GBASE-T applications. Gold-plated connectors ensure a reliable connection over thousands of insertions, and the blue jacket helps you organise networks by function or VLAN.

Ideal use cases

• High-density data centres and server rooms where space is at a premium
• Office networks requiring clean cable runs and easy identification
• Connecting PoE devices such as IP cameras, VoIP phones, and wireless access points
• Home or small business setups needing a reliable, high-speed wired connection
• Temporary installations for events or testing where flexibility matters

Good to know

The cable supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), so you can deliver both data and power over a single run. The outer diameter of approximately 4.0 mm is significantly slimmer than standard Cat6 cables, which typically measure 6 mm or more. This makes it easier to bundle multiple cables and reduces congestion in cable trays. The blue colour is not just aesthetic—it can be used to designate a specific network segment or priority level. With a stranded conductor design, the cable is more resistant to breakage from repeated bending, extending its lifespan in dynamic environments.
