SMA-videostekker ShiverPeaks 98610 centrale montage – coaxiale aansluiting voor videosystemen

The ShiverPeaks SMA Video Connector 98610 central mounting is a panel-mounted coaxial interface designed to provide a compact, threaded SMA connection for RF and video signal routing. It is intended for secure installation in panels or chassis and offers a gold-plated contact surface to ensure reliable electrical contact and reduced signal loss. The connector supports connections between video equipment, test instruments, and cabling where an SMA termination is required.

Advantages

This SMA video connector features a central mounting design that simplifies installation in panels and enclosures while maintaining a low profile. The threaded SMA coupling provides mechanically stable connections with good resistance to vibration. Gold-plated contacts improve conductivity and corrosion resistance, helping to preserve signal integrity for RF and video applications. The connector’s compact size makes it suitable for tight spaces and dense equipment layouts.

Suitable for

• Panel or chassis mounting in video and RF equipment
• Signal routing between cameras, monitors, and RF modules
• Test benches and measurement setups requiring SMA interfaces
• Repair and retrofit of professional or hobbyist video systems

Key specifications

• Connector type: SMA female, central mounting
• Contact plating: gold-plated contact surfaces for improved conductivity
• Mounting style: panel/chassis mount with central fastening
• Interface: threaded SMA for coaxial cable termination
• Application: RF and video signal transmission in compact installations

How to use

Drill and prepare the panel cutout according to the connector’s mechanical dimensions, insert the connector from the front or rear as applicable, and secure it with the central fastening nut. Attach an appropriately terminated SMA coaxial cable by threading the male SMA onto the connector until hand-tight; use a torque wrench to finish to the manufacturer’s recommended torque if required. Verify continuity and signal through appropriate test equipment after installation to confirm correct connection and signal integrity.

Recommendations

Use properly terminated coaxial cables with matching impedance to avoid reflections and signal degradation. Avoid over-tightening the SMA thread to prevent damage to the dielectric or center pin; consult torque specifications when available. For long-term reliability, inspect gold-plated contacts periodically for wear or contamination and replace the connector if mechanical wear affects signal quality.
