SSD-behuizing Inter-Tech GD-MSLK01

The Inter-Tech GD-MSLK01 is a compact external SSD enclosure designed for a single M.2 storage drive up to 16 TB. Housed in a sleek black case, it connects via USB with a data transfer rate up to 5 Gbit/s and provides hardware AES-256 encryption controlled via a built-in keypad to protect stored data from unauthorized access.

Advantages

The enclosure combines a small footprint with support for high-capacity M.2 drives and fast USB transfer rates. Built-in 256-bit AES hardware encryption and an onboard keypad let you set a personal access code so data remain unreadable if the drive is removed and connected to another controller. The external case supports multiple drives over time — you can secure any number of M.2 drives using the same encryption method.

Suitable for

• Backing up or transporting sensitive files securely
• Expanding laptop or desktop storage with an external M.2 SSD
• IT professionals who need portable encrypted storage
• Users requiring simple hardware-based encryption without software

Key specifications

• Model: Inter-Tech GD-MSLK01 (MPN: 88884069)
• Interface: USB (up to 5 Gbit/s)
• Drive type: M.2 SSD (single drive, max capacity 16 TB)
• Security: 256-bit AES hardware encryption with keypad
• Color: Black
• EAN: 4260455640312

How to use

Install an M.2 SSD into the enclosure following the manufacturer’s mounting instructions, connect the enclosure to a host device via the USB interface, and transfer data as with any external drive. Set a numeric access code using the onboard keypad to enable AES-256 encryption; once activated, the drive requires the code to be accessed. If the drive is removed and connected to another controller without entering the code, the data will remain encrypted and unreadable.

Recommendations

Choose a memorable but not easily guessable numeric code and keep a secure backup of important data before enabling encryption. Verify compatibility of your M.2 SSD with the enclosure and use the USB connection that supports the full 5 Gbit/s speed for optimal transfer performance.
