SSD-behuizing UNITEK S1226A zwart grijs M.2 PCI Express 40 Gbit/s

The UNITEK S1226A is an external M.2 SSD enclosure that supports PCIe/NVMe M-Key and B+M-Key drives in sizes 22×42, 22×60 and 22×80 mm. Constructed from aluminium with a black and grey finish, it uses a USB Type-C connector and supports USB4 Gen 3x2 (40 Gbit/s) data transfer rates, making it suitable for fast external storage and quick file access.

Advantages

The aluminium housing provides durable protection and helps dissipate heat during sustained transfers. Support for PCIe/NVMe interfaces and USB4 Gen 3x2 enables up to 40 Gbit/s throughput when paired with a compatible host. The enclosure accepts both M-Key and B+M-Key modules in common M.2 lengths, and the compact design offers portable expansion without additional tools.

How to use

Insert a compatible M.2 NVMe SSD (M-Key or B+M-Key, supported lengths) into the enclosure’s M.2 slot, secure it according to the enclosure’s mounting method, and connect the enclosure to a host computer using the supplied USB Type-C cable. Ensure the host supports USB4 Gen 3x2 to achieve maximum transfer speeds; otherwise the connection will negotiate to the highest mutually supported mode. Initialize or format the drive in the host operating system if required.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the enclosure with a USB4/Thunderbolt 4 or a compatible USB host that supports Gen 3x2. Allow adequate ventilation during prolonged high-speed transfers to aid heat dissipation and prolong SSD lifespan.
