SSD M.2 2280 ADATA LEGEND 900 512 GB PCIe 4.0 NVMe 7000/5400 MB/s, TBW 1200, AES-hardwareversleuteling

The ADATA LEGEND 900 is an M.2 NVMe SSD with 512 GB capacity that uses a PCIe Gen4 x4 interface and complies with the NVMe 1.4 standard. Designed for modern Intel and AMD platforms, it delivers high sequential read/write speeds (up to 7,000/5,400 MB/s) and is backward compatible with PCIe 3.0 systems, making it suitable for notebooks, desktops and supported game consoles where fast storage is required.

Advantages

The LEGEND 900 provides PCIe 4.0 performance with sequential read/write rates significantly higher than PCIe 3.0 and SATA SSDs, a compact M.2 form factor, and compatibility with PS5 expansion slots (with measured sequential read speed of 6,200 MB/s when installed in a PS5). It uses SLC caching, HMB (Host Memory Buffer) and LDPC error correction to improve sustained performance and data integrity. ADATA’s SSD Toolbox and S.M.A.R.T. support allow firmware updates, health monitoring and real-time status checks.

Suitable for

• High-performance notebooks and desktop PCs
• Game consoles that support M.2 PCIe 4.0 expansion (e.g., PS5)
• Content creation workflows: video editing, 3D rendering, animation and game development

How to use

Install the M.2 ADATA LEGEND 900 into a compatible M.2 PCIe 4.0 x4 slot on a notebook, desktop motherboard or supported console following the device manufacturer’s installation instructions. If installing in a PS5, insert the drive into the PS5 expansion bay and run any required formatting procedure on the console. Use the SSD Toolbox software to update firmware, check S.M.A.R.T. data and monitor temperature and remaining lifespan.

Recommendations

For optimal sustained performance, ensure your system supports PCIe Gen4 and enable appropriate BIOS settings. When used in a PS5, note that actual in-game performance may vary by title and the PS5 measures the drive’s sequential read speed at approximately 6,200 MB/s while operating.
