Stagebox Omnitronic MUS-820 20m 8-kanaals multicore-kabel

The Omnitronic MUS-820 20m 8-channel snake cable is a multicore stagebox designed to link stage inputs to a mixing console over a single 20 metre run. It consolidates eight balanced audio channels into one robust cable to simplify stage wiring and reduce set-up time and cable clutter. The construction is intended for live sound applications where reliable channel routing and clear audio transmission are required.

Advantages

The Omnitronic MUS-820 provides eight individually shielded, balanced audio lines in a single jacketed cable, reducing the number of separate cables that must be routed between stage and FOH. Its 20 m length covers typical distances between stage and mixer without the need for extensions, and the multicore design minimizes noise and interference compared with multiple unpaired runs. The cable is built for frequent handling and live use, offering practical flexibility for different stage layouts.

How to use

Connect the stagebox ends to the corresponding input and output panels: plug each channel from stage microphones or DI boxes into the stage-end connectors and route the multicore to the mixing console. At the mixer end, connect each channel to the console’s inputs in the same order used on stage to maintain channel mapping. Coil and transport the cable carefully to avoid sharp kinks; when deploying, unroll the cable along a safe path and secure it with tape or cable protectors where foot traffic occurs.

Recommendations

Inspect connectors and cable sheath before each use, avoid running the multicore near power cables to reduce hum, and store the cable coiled on a drum or loop without tight bends. For longer runs or permanent installations, evaluate signal requirements and consider stage DI or additional snakes to maintain signal integrity.
