Stoomstrijkstation Blaupunkt SSP701

The Steam Iron Blaupunkt SSP701 is a steam ironing station designed for household use, combining a high-power boiler and a ceramic soleplate to deliver efficient steam performance. With a 1.5 L refillable water tank, the unit supplies steam at up to 5.5 bar pressure and a flow up to 135 g/min, using a pump to feed water from the base to the iron. The generator-based steam approach loosens fibres effectively so fabrics stay smooth longer while reducing reliance on soleplate weight and temperature.

Advantages

The SSP701 offers powerful continuous steam generated in an onboard boiler, two steam settings plus a double-press extra-steam boost, and automatic soleplate temperature control for simplified handling. The ceramic soleplate ensures smooth gliding, scratch resistance and easy cleaning. A 1.5-litre tank with refill-during-ironing capability enables prolonged use without frequent stops. Safety features include automatic shut-off after 10 minutes of inactivity with indicator and audible alert.

Suitable for

• Daily household ironing of shirts, trousers and blouses
• Removing deep wrinkles from heavily creased fabrics
• Vertical steaming of hanging garments and curtains
• Extended ironing sessions without frequent refills

How to use

Fill the 1.5 L water tank before first use or during ironing as needed. Place the base on a stable surface and connect to a 230–240 V outlet. Switch on the unit and allow the boiler to reach operating temperature; use the electronic controls on the iron and the button on the generator to select one of the two steam settings. For extra steam, press the steam button twice. Glide the ceramic soleplate over the fabric or use the vertical steam function for hanging items. If the unit remains stationary for 10 minutes, it will enter automatic shut-off; press the steam button to resume operation.

Recommendations

Use tap or distilled water according to local water hardness recommendations, descale the boiler periodically as described in the user manual, and avoid overfilling the tank. Allow garments to cool briefly after steaming to set the fabric. Keep the soleplate clean and store the iron in an upright position when not in use.
