Strijkijzer Russell Hobbs 26482-56

The Russell Hobbs 26482-56 steam iron delivers 2400 W of power for fast heat-up and continuous steam performance, designed to smooth out creases on a wide range of fabrics. The ceramic soleplate provides low friction and even heat distribution to help protect garments while improving glide. A 0.24 L water tank and a 2 m power cord offer practical capacity and reach for routine home ironing tasks. The iron also supports vertical steam for refreshing hanging clothes and curtains.

Advantages

This steam iron combines high power with a ceramic soleplate to balance efficient wrinkle removal and fabric care. The compact 0.24 L tank is sufficient for short to medium sessions and the vertical steam function allows use on garments and soft furnishings without an ironing board. A 2 m cord increases maneuverability around an ironing surface and the design supports consistent steam output for effective results across cotton, linen and blended fabrics.

Suitable for

• Daily household ironing of shirts, trousers and dresses
• Quick touch-ups and steam refreshing of hanging garments
• Ironic of table linen, curtains and light upholstery
• Ironing of mixed-fibre garments requiring moderate steam

Key specifications

• Water tank capacity: 0.24 L for short to medium ironing sessions
• Vertical steam function: Yes, for refreshing hanging items

How to use

Fill the water tank up to the indicated level, plug the iron into a compatible mains outlet and allow it to heat until the ready indicator shows the set temperature. Select the appropriate temperature setting for the fabric being ironed, and apply steady, even strokes across the garment. Use the steam function for difficult creases or vertical steaming to freshen hanging textiles; when using vertical steam, keep the iron upright and maintain a short distance to avoid over-wetting. After use, switch off and unplug the iron, allow it to cool completely before emptying remaining water and storing.

Recommendations

Use distilled or demineralised water where local water hardness is high to reduce scale build-up; always follow fabric care labels for temperature settings. Empty the water tank after each session if the appliance will not be used for an extended period. Regularly clean the ceramic soleplate with a soft cloth when cool to maintain smooth glide and avoid abrasive cleaners that can damage the surface.
