Sold as a single unit, it is intended for use in electrical installation, maintenance and repair where controlled insulation removal is required.

Advantages

The tool combines a compact 180 mm length with a colour that makes it easy to locate in toolboxes or on the jobsite. Its form factor supports one-handed operation and controlled stripping, reducing the risk of nicking conductors when used correctly. Being a purpose-built cable stripper, it simplifies repetitive stripping operations and helps maintain consistent results across similar cable types.

Suitable for

• Stripping insulation from single-core and multi-core electrical cables
• Electrical installation and maintenance work
• DIY electrical repairs and hobby electronics
• Preparation of conductors for terminal connections and soldering

Key specifications

• Tool type: handheld cable stripper
• Length: 180 mm
• Colour: red
• Package: single unit (sold individually)

How to use

Select the appropriate stripping position for the cable cross-section and hold the cable stripper so the blade or stripping jaws engage the insulation. Apply gentle axial force while rotating or pulling as designed to remove the insulation without damaging the conductor. For multi-core cables, expose only the required conductor length and avoid excessive force. Inspect the conductor after stripping to ensure insulation has been removed cleanly and that the conductor is not nicked or cut.

Recommendations

Use personal protective equipment as required for electrical work, such as insulated gloves and eye protection. Verify the cable is de-energised before stripping. Choose the correct stripping method for the cable type and replace the tool if blades or jaws become worn to maintain safe and accurate performance.
