Switch kti networks KGS-SOHO-8 — unmanaged 8-poorts 10/100/1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet-switch

The kti networks KGS-SOHO-8 is an unmanaged 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switch that delivers 10/100/1000 Mbps connectivity on each port. Built for small offices, SOHO and home networks, it provides plug-and-play wired networking without configuration. The compact metal housing and fanless design allow quiet continuous operation while the full-duplex Gigabit ports support reliable data transfer for office devices such as PCs, printers, NAS units and IP cameras.

Advantages

This unmanaged switch requires no setup or management, enabling immediate expansion of a wired network simply by connecting devices. Each port supports auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX, so devices with different speeds or cable types connect without manual adjustments. The Gigabit throughput and store-and-forward switching method reduce latency and improve performance for file transfers, backups and video streams. The switch’s low power consumption and passive cooling keep operating costs and noise to a minimum.

How to use

Place the kti networks KGS-SOHO-8 on a stable surface and connect the included power adapter to a mains outlet. Plug Ethernet cables from your router, modem or upstream switch into any port, then connect computers, printers, NAS devices or IP cameras to the remaining ports. The switch operates immediately without configuration; connected devices will negotiate speed and duplex automatically. Check the front-panel LEDs to confirm link status and data activity.

Recommendations

For best performance, use Category 5e or higher UTP cabling for Gigabit links and avoid placing the switch in locations with restricted airflow or high ambient temperatures. Keep the switch’s firmware and connected device network settings up to date when applicable. Since this is an unmanaged switch without PoE, use dedicated PoE injectors or PoE switches for devices that require power over Ethernet.
