Takkenzaag Bahco 396-JT zwart oranje 200g

The Bahco 396-JT Black Orange pruning saw is a lightweight hand saw intended for precision pruning of small to medium branches. At approximately 200 g, its balanced weight and compact profile support controlled cuts in gardens, orchards and landscaped areas. The saw combines a curved blade geometry with an ergonomic grip to facilitate efficient removal of deadwood, shaping of shrubs and routine maintenance of fruit trees.

Advantages

This pruning saw offers low weight for reduced user fatigue during prolonged use and a compact length that improves access in dense foliage. The blade design provides effective wood removal with fewer strokes, while the textured handle ensures a secure grip in wet or sweaty conditions. The contrasting black and orange finish improves visibility among tools and vegetation.

Suitable for

• Pruning small to medium diameter branches in gardens and orchards
• Selective branch removal and deadwood cutting
• General shrub shaping and landscape maintenance
• Horticultural tasks requiring a portable hand saw

Key specifications

• Tool type: hand pruning saw designed for cutting wood
• Weight: approximately 200 g for reduced fatigue
• Handle: ergonomic textured grip for control
• Blade finish: high-contrast black and orange color scheme for visibility
• Suitable cutting range: small to medium branches (manual sawing)

How to use

Hold the saw with a firm but comfortable grip and position the blade on the branch at the intended cut point. Use smooth, controlled strokes, allowing the saw’s teeth to do the cutting rather than applying excessive force. For branches under tension, make an initial undercut to prevent bark tearing, then complete the cut from above. After use, clean sap and debris from the blade and store the saw in a dry place to reduce corrosion and maintain cutting performance.

Recommendations

For safe and effective pruning, wear appropriate protective gloves and eye protection, choose the correct cutting angle, and avoid forcing the blade. Regularly inspect the saw for damage and sharpen or replace the blade when cutting efficiency decreases.
