The ShiverPeaks BS70253 3 m Black telephone cable connects devices using RJ-45 and RJ-11 connectors, offering a 3-meter reach for flexible placement in home or office environments. The black jacket presents a neutral, unobtrusive appearance that blends with common interior setups.

Advantages

This telephone cable combines two common connector types—RJ-45 and RJ-11—allowing compatibility with a variety of telephony and communication devices. The 3-meter length balances convenience and tidiness, reducing the need for extensions while enabling comfortable device placement. The cable jacket is finished in black to minimise visual distraction and to coordinate with typical office or home equipment. Built for everyday use, it supports reliable voice transmission and basic data signals with consistent contact integrity.

Suitable for

• Connecting desk telephones to wall sockets or PBX systems
• Linking fax machines and legacy modems to telephone lines
• Temporary or permanent wiring in home offices and small business setups
• Replacing worn telephone cords or upgrading to a different connector combination

Key specifications

• Cable length: 3 meters
• Connector types: RJ-45 to RJ-11
• Colour: Black outer jacket
• Intended signals: analog voice and low-speed data
• Construction: shielded or unshielded twisted pair (manufacturer default for telephone cable)

How to use

Insert the RJ-11 end into the telephone or modem/line port and the RJ-45 end into the compatible wall socket or adapter. Ensure each connector clicks into place to confirm a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and pinching; keep it clear of heat sources and sharp edges. When disconnecting, press the connector latch before pulling to prevent damage to the plug or socket. Check voice quality after installation to verify correct wiring and contact.

Recommendations

Use this cable indoors in dry environments and avoid exposure to direct sunlight or prolonged moisture. For installations requiring extended interference protection or higher data rates, consider using specialized data cables. Regularly inspect connectors for wear and replace the cable if contacts become loose or if voice/data quality degrades.
