The Panasonic LUMIX G VARIO 12-60mm F3.5-5.6 ASPH. POWER O.I.S. is a compact telephoto zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds (MFT) mirrorless cameras. Covering an equivalent focal length range of 24–120mm (35mm format), it combines a versatile zoom range with a lightweight design and optical image stabilization to help capture distant subjects with clarity. The lens construction comprises 11 elements in 9 groups, with a maximum magnification of 0.27x and a 58 mm filter thread.

Advantages

This Panasonic telephoto lens offers a broad focal range suitable for portraits, events and travel, while remaining small and light for everyday use. The POWER O.I.S. system reduces camera shake for sharper handheld images and the aspherical elements contribute to improved sharpness and reduced aberrations across the zoom range. A close focusing distance of 0.2 m increases versatility for tighter framing of subjects.

Suitable for

• Portraits and head-and-shoulders shots

• General-purpose telephoto shooting on MFT cameras

Select an appropriate aperture (F3.5–F5.6 range) for depth of field control and adjust shutter speed and ISO according to lighting conditions.

Recommendations

For best results when shooting handheld, enable both the lens POWER O.I.S. and any in-body stabilization the camera offers. Use wider focal lengths for environmental portraits and travel scenes, and longer focal lengths for tighter framing or distant subjects. Protect the front element with a 58 mm UV or protective filter when working outdoors.
