Mount it when the zoom lens is set to its longest focal length to obtain maximum macro magnification. Focus by moving the camera forward or backward and use manual or autofocus as supported by your lens and camera body. For best results, use a tripod or stable support and remote or cable release to minimize camera shake at close distances.

Recommendations

Use the DCR-250 primarily on telephoto zoom settings for increased magnification, keep adequate lighting or use a ring/spot light for close subjects, and check compatibility between the lens adapter and your lens filter thread before purchase.
