Teltonika CALYX Embedded Cellular Raspberry 4G Pi HAT — mobiele HAT voor Raspberry Pi met geïntegreerde 4G-connectiviteit

The TELTONIKA CALYX Embedded Cellular Raspberry 4G Pi HAT is a hardware add-on that provides embedded 4G cellular connectivity for Raspberry Pi single-board computers. Designed to mount on the standard 40-pin header, the HAT integrates cellular radio and antenna interfaces to enable mobile data access without external modems. This Pi HAT is intended for remote monitoring, IoT prototyping and field deployments where wired networks are not available or practical.

Advantages

The HAT delivers integrated 4G connectivity in a compact form factor that fits directly on a Raspberry Pi, reducing the need for separate USB modems or external gateways. Integrated antenna interfaces and cellular radio simplify installation and cable routing. The design supports quick deployment in mobile or remote scenarios and is compatible with typical Raspberry Pi power and form-factor constraints.

Suitable for

• Remote monitoring systems and telemetry
• IoT prototyping and development on Raspberry Pi platforms
• Field deployments where wired internet is unavailable
• Mobile data applications and temporary installations

Key specifications

• Form factor: Raspberry Pi HAT compatible, 40-pin header mounting
• Cellular connectivity: embedded 4G radio (LTE categories and bands depend on device configuration)
• Antenna interfaces: integrated antenna connectors for external antennas
• Power: designed to operate within Raspberry Pi power supply constraints
• Interfaces: standard GPIO header connection to Raspberry Pi for data and control
• Use environment: intended for mobile, remote or field deployments where wired networks are absent

How to use

Mount the CALYX Pi HAT on the Raspberry Pi 40-pin header and secure it according to standard HAT installation practice. Connect any required external antennas to the provided antenna interfaces and ensure the Raspberry Pi has an appropriate power supply capable of supporting added cellular radio load. Configure network settings and any required cellular credentials or APN parameters in the operating system to establish mobile data connectivity. Follow Teltonika software or driver guidance where applicable to enable modem control and monitoring.

Recommendations

For reliable cellular performance, position external antennas to maximize signal strength and place the Raspberry Pi in a location with clear cellular reception. Verify the power supply can handle peak current demands of the cellular radio and follow standard grounding and shielding practices in electrically noisy environments. Consult Teltonika documentation for carrier compatibility and band configuration before deployment.
