The North Face Trail Lite 36 TNF rugzak zwart/asfaltgrijs L/XL

The Trail Lite 36 strikes a rare balance: a full 36-litre capacity in a streamlined, lightweight frame that moves with you on technical day hikes and fast-and-light overnights. Unlike bulkier packs that force a choice between comfort and agility, this pack uses a breathable mesh-covered foam back panel and an internal aluminium stay to transfer load without restricting airflow. The top-loading design with drawstring closure keeps gear secure, while the large stretch-mesh front pocket and dual side pockets offer quick access to layers, bottles, or trekking poles. A padded hip belt with zippered pockets, load lifters, and a sternum strap with whistle buckle round out a suspension system that feels custom-tuned. Built from recycled nylon and polyester with a non-PFC DWR finish, it shrugs off light rain and abrasion. Whether you're linking ridgelines or packing for a hut-to-hut weekend, this pack delivers trail-ready organisation without the penalty of extra weight.

In daily use

On the trail, the Trail Lite 36 feels nimble rather than overbuilt. The internal stay transfers weight to the hip belt, so your shoulders stay fresh on long approaches. The mesh back panel allows air to circulate, reducing sweat build-up on warm climbs. The stretch-mesh front pocket is perfect for stashing a rain shell or map, while the side pockets hold bottles within easy reach. When you need to hydrate, the internal sleeve keeps your reservoir flat and the port routes the hose cleanly over either shoulder. The zippered hip belt pockets are large enough for a phone, snacks, or a small camera. At camp, the drawstring top opens wide for quick access to your sleep system or cook kit. The non-PFC DWR finish sheds light precipitation, and the recycled fabrics hold up to rock and brush. For fastpacking or minimalist overnights, this pack carries everything you need and nothing you don't.
