Theepot Bodum Assam 1500 ml zwart transparant

The Bodum Assam single teapot 1500 ml Black Transparent is a teapot designed for brewing and serving loose-leaf tea and tea bags. With a 1500 ml capacity and a transparent glass body combined with black accents, the teapot allows visual control of the infusion while providing a simple pouring and serving experience. The construction uses durable materials intended for repeated domestic use and the integrated plunger and filter system stops the infusion without removing the filter, enabling cleaner serving and easier handling.

Advantages

The teapot's transparent glass makes the brewing process visible, which helps monitor infusion strength and timing. The integrated plunger and fine filter allow brewing directly in the pot and pressing down to stop steeping, eliminating the need to remove the filter and reducing spills and heat exposure to hands. Its 1500 ml volume suits group servings and extended tea sessions while the black trim provides a neutral, contemporary aesthetic that fits various table settings.

Suitable for

• Brewing loose-leaf tea for small groups or family servings
• Preparing multiple cups of tea for meetings, gatherings, or hospitality
• Monitoring infusion visually for precise steeping time

Key specifications

• Capacity: 1500 ml
• Material: borosilicate/heat-resistant glass body with black accents (handle/lid)
• Integrated plunger with fine filter for stopping infusion
• Design: transparent glass with black trim for visible infusion
• Suitable for tabletop serving and countertop use

How to use

Boil water to the appropriate temperature for the chosen tea. Place the desired amount of tea leaves into the filter or pot according to taste. Pour hot water into the teapot and allow the leaves to infuse for 3–4 minutes or to your preferred strength. When the desired infusion is reached, press down the plunger to stop further steeping; the filter remains inside the pot so there is no need to remove it. Pour the brewed tea directly from the spout into cups and refill as needed.

Recommendations

Allow the glass to cool slightly before rinsing with cold water to avoid thermal shock. Clean the filter and plunger components after each use to maintain flow and flavor clarity. Use caution when handling hot water and the teapot immediately after brewing to prevent burns.
