Toshiba N300 16TB 3,5 inch NAS-harde schijf (SATA, 7200 tpm)

The Toshiba N300 16TB is a 3.5-inch NAS-optimised hard drive built for reliable, around-the-clock storage in 1- to 8-bay network attached storage systems. Running at 7200 RPM over a SATA 6 Gb/s interface with a 256 MB cache and CMR recording, it delivers consistent performance for home and small-business NAS, backup and media servers.

Advantages

Designed for 24/7 operation and a 180 TB/year workload, the N300 uses integrated rotational vibration (RV) sensors to stay stable in multi-bay enclosures where several drives spin together. CMR (conventional magnetic recording) suits RAID rebuilds and sustained writes, and a high MTTF rating supports years of dependable use.

Suitable for

• 1- to 8-bay home and small-business NAS
• 24/7 backup, archive and media servers
• RAID arrays needing CMR reliability
• Expanding or upgrading NAS storage capacity

Recommendations

For data protection, use the drive in a RAID configuration and keep regular backups. Match drives for capacity and model when building an array. Confirm your NAS supports 16 TB drives, and place units in well-ventilated bays for the best reliability.
