Toslink-adapter ShiverPeaks Toslink/2 x Toslink F/F

The ShiverPeaks Toslink/2 x Toslink F/F fibre optic adapter provides a simple and reliable way to join two TOSLINK optical cables or to extend an existing optical audio connection. Finished in black, the compact inline adapter uses standard TOSLINK connectors to preserve digital audio signals with minimal loss and immunity to electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for home theatre and audio setups that require clean optical links.

Advantages

This adapter supports direct fibre optic coupling between two TOSLINK cables, offering a low-profile connection that maintains signal integrity. Its durable black housing ensures a secure, long-lasting mechanical interface while TOSLINK connectors keep the optical path stable and resistant to electrical noise. The compact form factor makes it easy to fit behind AV racks and in tight spaces without adding signal converters or additional electronics.

Suitable for

• Extending optical digital audio connections between devices
• Connecting CD/DVD/Blu-ray players to receivers or soundbars
• Linking game consoles and TVs with TOSLINK outputs/inputs
• Integrating into home theatre and stereo systems

Key specifications

• Connector type: TOSLINK female to TOSLINK female (optical)
• Colour: black
• Function: optical signal coupling / extension
• Physical form: compact inline adapter
• Signal: digital optical audio (fibre optic)

How to use

Insert the male end of each TOSLINK cable into the female ports of the adapter until they click or fit snugly. Ensure that the cable ferrules are clean and free of dust before making the connection to prevent signal attenuation. Place the adapter in a position that avoids sharp bends or stress on the cables and verify audio output on the connected devices. No power or configuration is required.

Recommendations

For best performance, keep optical cable ends covered when not in use, avoid tight cable bends near the adapter, and clean connector end faces with a suitable fibre optic cleaning tool if signal issues occur. Use within typical indoor AV environments and keep the adapter away from excessive moisture or mechanical strain.
