TP-Link ARCHER A64 draadloze router Gigabit Ethernet dualband (2,4 GHz / 5 GHz) zwart

The TP-Link Archer A64 is a dual-band tabletop Wi‑Fi 5 (802.11ac) router that provides combined wireless performance for everyday tasks and media‑intensive applications. It supports 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands with up to 867 Mbit/s on the 5 GHz band, includes four external antennas and Gigabit Ethernet ports (1 WAN + 4 LAN), and supports WPA3 security. The router can also operate in Access Point mode and is configured via a web interface or the Tether mobile app.

Advantages

Dual‑band operation separates simple tasks on 2.4 GHz from high‑speed traffic on 5 GHz, while MU‑MIMO enables simultaneous streaming to multiple devices. Four external antennas and beamforming improve signal coverage and device detection. Full Gigabit Ethernet ports provide high‑speed wired connections for PCs, smart TVs and consoles. WPA3 support enhances wireless security, and Access Point mode adds flexibility for extending wired networks wirelessly.

Suitable for

• Home networks with mixed usage (browsing, email, video streaming)
• Small office setups requiring stable Wi‑Fi and wired Gigabit connections
• Multiple concurrent users and devices (smartphones, laptops, smart TVs)
• Media‑intensive activities such as HD streaming and online gaming

Key specifications

• Wi‑Fi bands: Dual‑band (2.4 GHz / 5 GHz)
• Wi‑Fi standard: Wi‑Fi 5 (802.11ac); backward compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n
• Maximum WLAN data rate (5 GHz): up to 867 Mbit/s
• Antennas: 4 external
• Ethernet: 1 WAN + 4 LAN Gigabit Ethernet ports
• Security: WPA3 support
• Form factor: Tabletop router; color: Black

How to use

Place the Archer A64 centrally in the coverage area and connect the modem to the WAN port; plug devices into LAN ports for wired connections or connect them via the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz SSIDs. Complete the initial setup through the web interface or install the Tether app on an Android or iOS device to follow on‑screen steps for network name, password and security settings. Switch to Access Point mode in the interface if you need to convert an existing wired network into a wireless network.

Recommendations

For best performance, allow the router to remain elevated and away from large metal objects or thick walls. Use the 5 GHz band for bandwidth‑heavy activities (streaming, gaming) and 2.4 GHz for long‑range, low‑bandwidth devices. Keep firmware up to date and enable WPA3 where supported to improve security.
