TP-Link Archer AX72 wlan-router Gigabit Ethernet dualband (2,4 GHz / 5 GHz) zwart

The TP-Link Archer AX72 is a portable dual-band Wi‑Fi 6 router designed to deliver high-speed wireless connectivity for homes and small offices. Supporting 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands with a combined maximum WLAN throughput of up to 5400 Mbit/s, the Archer AX72 offers wide coverage through six external antennas, beamforming, and a 4T4R architecture. It includes Gigabit Ethernet ports and a USB port for flexible wired connections and peripheral sharing, and supports modern security standards including WPA3.

Advantages

Wi‑Fi 6 technology increases throughput, reduces latency, and raises network capacity so many devices can operate simultaneously. The router’s high-power FEM, six antennas, beamforming and 4T4R structure extend stable coverage across multiple rooms. OFDMA and MU‑MIMO improve multi-device efficiency, and HomeShield security features—powered by Avira—provide DDoS protection, IoT device identification and robust parental controls. The ventilated chassis and slanted top allow better heat dissipation for sustained performance.

Suitable for

• Streaming multiple 4K/8K videos and simultaneous downloads
• Online gaming for several devices at once
• Homes or small offices with 50–100+ connected devices
• Smart home setups with cameras and voice assistants

How to use

Place the Archer AX72 in a central location for best coverage and connect the WAN port to your modem using an Ethernet cable. Power on the router and follow the quick setup wizard via the TP‑Link Tether mobile app or the web interface to configure your SSID, password and security settings. Connect wired devices to the Gigabit LAN ports or connect wireless devices to the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz networks. Use the Tether app or web GUI to manage HomeShield features, guest networks, and firmware updates.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, place the router away from large metal objects and other electronics that cause interference, keep the firmware updated, and enable WPA3 and HomeShield protections to secure your network. Use the 5 GHz band for high‑bandwidth activities like 8K streaming and gaming, and the 2.4 GHz band for broader range and IoT devices.
