TP-Link Archer BE400 wifirouter 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet dual-band (2,4 GHz / 5 GHz) zwart

Archer BE400 is a Wi‑Fi 7 dual‑band router delivering up to 6.5 Gbps combined throughput and multi‑gig wired connections. It supports 4K‑QAM, Multi‑Link Operation (MLO) and Multi‑RUs to improve data density, efficiency and responsiveness. Six high‑performance antennas with beamforming extend coverage, while EasyMesh compatibility allows building a whole‑home mesh network. Dual 2.5 Gbps ports (one WAN, one LAN) enable internet speeds beyond 1 Gbps. Security features include TP‑Link HomeShield, WPA3 and support for VPN client and server modes.

Advantages

Wi‑Fi 7 technology provides higher throughput, lower latency and improved anti‑jamming for demanding applications. Multi‑Link Operation increases reliability and reduces delay by using multiple bands simultaneously, and Multi‑RUs and 4K‑QAM raise spectral efficiency for faster transfers. Dual 2.5 Gbps wired ports remove the 1 Gbps bottleneck for compatible internet plans and local devices. Beamforming and six antennas expand and stabilize coverage, and EasyMesh compatibility enables seamless whole‑home mesh with unified management via the Tether app or web UI. Built‑in security tools, WPA3 encryption and a private IoT network option help protect devices and data.

Key specifications

• Wi‑Fi standard: Wi‑Fi 7 (802.11be)
• Maximum wireless speed: up to 6.5 Gbps (combined)
• Wireless features: 4K‑QAM, Multi‑Link Operation (MLO), Multi‑RUs, beamforming, smart roaming
• Antennas: 6 high‑performance external antennas
• Wired ports: 1 × 2.5 Gbps WAN, 1 × 2.5 Gbps LAN, additional LAN ports (model dependent)
• Mesh: EasyMesh compatible for whole‑home mesh
• Security: TP‑Link HomeShield, WPA3, private IoT network
• VPN: supports VPN client and VPN server modes

How to use

Install the Tether app on your smartphone or use the web UI to begin setup, then follow the on‑screen instructions to complete three simple steps for initial configuration. Connect your internet source to the 2.5 Gbps WAN port and wired devices to the LAN ports as needed. For mesh coverage, add additional EasyMesh‑compatible nodes and manage the network centrally from the main node via the Tether app or web interface. Configure HomeShield, create a separate Wi‑Fi for IoT devices and enable WPA3 encryption. If desired, set up VPN client or server profiles in the router settings to secure remote access.

Recommendations

For best performance, use multi‑gig internet service and connect high‑bandwidth devices to the 2.5 Gbps ports or to clients that support Wi‑Fi 7. Place the router centrally and, if needed, add EasyMesh nodes to eliminate dead zones. Keep firmware updated and enable WPA3 and HomeShield features to maintain network security.
