TP-Link FESTA FS308GP netwerkswitch managed gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) Power over Ethernet (PoE) wit

The TP-Link FESTA FS308GP is a managed switch with eight Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) RJ-45 ports and two SFP module slots. It supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) according to IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at standards and provides a switching capacity of 16 Gbit/s with a MAC address table capable of storing 8000 entries. Designed for network expansion and centralized power delivery, this white finished switch is suitable for small to medium-sized wired networks that require managed traffic control and PoE-powered devices.

Advantages

The FESTA FS308GP combines managed switch functionality with PoE support, allowing administrators to control traffic, prioritize services and power devices over existing Ethernet cabling. With eight Gigabit ports and two SFP uplink slots, the device offers flexible connectivity for access and aggregation layers. The switching capacity of 16 Gbit/s and an 8000-entry MAC address table ensure stable performance for typical office and retail deployments. The compact, white enclosure fits neatly into constrained installations while delivering both data and power to compatible endpoints.

Suitable for

• Small and medium-sized office networks requiring centralized management and PoE
• Retail outlets and point-of-sale systems with PoE peripherals such as IP terminals and barcode scanners
• IP surveillance systems with multiple PoE cameras
• Access layer connectivity with uplink to fiber via SFP modules

Key specifications

How to use

Install the switch on a stable surface or within an appropriate rack or enclosure, connect incoming network trunks to the SFP slots or Gigabit ports, and attach end devices to the RJ-45 ports. Configure management settings through the switch's web interface or supported management tools to set VLANs, QoS, and PoE policies. Ensure connected PoE devices are compatible with IEEE 802.3af or 802.3at, and monitor power budgets to avoid exceeding the switch's PoE capacity.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a well-ventilated area, keep firmware up to date, and plan port assignments to separate high-bandwidth or latency-sensitive traffic. Use appropriate SFP modules for fiber connections and verify PoE power requirements of connected devices to maintain stable operation.
