TP-Link INSIGHT S455 turret IP-beveiligingscamera buiten 2880 x 1620 pixels plafond

The TP-Link INSIGHT S455 is an outdoor IP security camera with a turret design and ceiling mounting support. It offers a 2880 x 1620 resolution from a CMOS sensor and a wide field of view (111.4° horizontal, 58.8° vertical, 134° diagonal). The camera supports long-range detection up to 64 m, observation to 27 m and recognition to 13 m, making it suitable for perimeter and area monitoring. It is a wired, white-coloured unit with Ethernet LAN connectivity and built-in video motion detection.

Advantages

People & Vehicle Analytics and Human & Vehicle Classification streamline post-event search and reduce false alerts by filtering detected objects by type and attributes. True WDR balances bright and dark areas for natural-looking footage in high-contrast scenes. Smart IR adapts infrared illumination to prevent overexposure and glare at varying distances. 3D DNR reduces image noise across frames while preserving detail. Efficient H.265+ compression lowers bandwidth and storage needs compared with H.264 and H.265.

Suitable for

• Outdoor perimeter monitoring of residential or commercial properties
• Ceiling-mounted coverage in parking areas and entrances
• Detection and recording of people and vehicles for security review

How to use

Install the camera on a ceiling or overhead surface using appropriate mounting hardware, orient the turret to cover the desired area, and connect it to a PoE-capable switch or Ethernet network for power and data. Configure the camera through the TP-Link management interface or compatible NVR software, enable motion detection and analytics features, and adjust WDR, IR and white balance settings as needed for optimal image quality.

Recommendations

For reliable analytics and long-range detection, mount the camera at a height and angle that provide unobstructed views of the monitored zone. Use H.265+ compression to reduce storage use, and periodically review IR and WDR settings in changing lighting conditions.
