TP-Link TL-WA1201 draadloos access point 867 Mbit/s wit Power over Ethernet (PoE)

TP-Link TL-WA1201 is a dual-band wireless access point supporting combined maximum throughput up to 867 Mbps (300 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 867 Mbps on 5 GHz). The device connects to a WAN via an Ethernet (RJ-45) port and is powered by a 12 V, 1.5 A DC input. Its compact white housing is designed for tabletop placement and complies with CE, FCC and RoHS certifications.

Advantages

The TL-WA1201 offers dual-band connectivity to reduce interference and improve performance, supports multiple SSIDs for network segmentation, and implements common security algorithms including WEP, WPA and WPA2 with PSK options. Simple Ethernet WAN connection and standard power input make installation straightforward for small office or home use.

How to use

Connect the TL-WA1201 to your network using an Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 WAN port and supply power with a 12 V, 1.5 A adapter. Configure wireless settings through the device web interface or management utility: select the desired band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz), set SSID names and security mode (WEP/WPA/WPA2 with PSK as needed), and enable multiple SSIDs if network segmentation is required. Place the unit on a table in a central location for optimal coverage.

Recommendations

Use WPA2-PSK where possible for stronger security, update firmware according to TP-Link instructions, and position the access point away from large metal objects and other sources of interference to achieve stable wireless performance.
