TP-Link VIGI C420I(2.8MM) beveiligingscamera turret binnen 1920 x 1080 pixel plafond

The TP-Link VIGI C420I (2.8MM) is a turret-style indoor security camera with 2MP Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution designed for ceiling mounting. It provides reliable wired connectivity via Ethernet and supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) to transmit data and power over a single RJ45 cable. With a 2.8 mm lens and a minimum illumination of 0.1 lx, the camera delivers clear images in low-light conditions and offers night vision up to 30 meters for comprehensive indoor monitoring.

Advantages

This model combines 2MP resolution with AI-based Smart Detection to alert on perimeter crossing, area entry, tampering, and object removal or abandonment. Video quality is enhanced by SmartVid technologies including Smart IR, WDR, and 3D DNR to reduce noise and improve visibility in challenging lighting. PoE simplifies installation by removing the need for a separate power adapter. Two lens versions (2 mm and 4 mm) are available to suit different coverage needs, and the camera supports flexible cable routing and ceiling mounting.

How to use

Mount the turret camera to a ceiling surface using the provided fixtures and route the Ethernet cable through the camera’s side outlet or ceiling opening. Connect the camera to a PoE-enabled switch or injector using an RJ45 cable to supply both data and power. Configure recording, alerts, and smart detection zones via an NVR UI, the VIGI app, or VIGI Security Manager according to your monitoring requirements. Verify night vision and image settings during installation to ensure proper coverage.

Recommendations

For optimal results place the camera at a height that covers the intended area without obstructions, select the appropriate lens version for your coverage distance, and configure Smart Detection zones to reduce false alerts. Regularly check firmware updates and system logs when managed via NVR UI, VIGI app, or VIGI Security Manager.
