TP-Link VIGI C440(4mm) Turret IP-bewakingscamera binnen & buiten 2560 x 1440 pixels plafond

The TP-Link VIGI C440 (4mm) is a 4MP full-color turret IP security camera offering 2560 × 1440 resolution and a turret design suitable for ceiling or wall mounting. Built for indoor and outdoor use, the camera provides a 79° horizontal and 43° vertical field of view, 360° rotation capability, and wired PoE connectivity for simple single-cable installation. The camera uses a CMOS sensor with an effective detection distance of up to 80 m, observation up to 33 m, and recognition up to 16 m, delivering clear monitoring for business and property protection.

Advantages

The VIGI C440 supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for simplified wiring with a single RJ45 cable carrying power and data. It includes Smart Detection features such as motion detection, area intrusion, line-crossing alerts, and tamper detection. Image enhancement technologies — Smart IR, Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), and 3D DNR — improve night performance and contrast handling. The camera also offers active defense with sound and light alarms, two-way audio response, multiple management methods (VIGI NVR, mobile App, Security Manager), and local SD storage support.

Suitable for

• Small and medium retail spaces requiring perimeter and entrance monitoring
• Office interiors and reception areas where ceiling mounting is preferred
• Warehouses and storage rooms needing long-distance detection and observation
• Outdoor building exteriors and parking zones with PoE network infrastructure

How to use

Mount the turret camera on a ceiling or wall using the included bracket, route the RJ45 cable through the side outlet or ceiling entry, and connect to a PoE switch or injector to provide power and network access with one cable. Configure detection zones, line-crossing boundaries, and alert settings via the VIGI App, Security Manager, or a VIGI NVR. Insert a compatible microSD card for local recording if required. Test Smart IR and WDR settings to optimise night and high-contrast scenes.

Recommendations

Install the camera at a height and angle that balance field of view and recognition distance — typically ceiling-mounted above entrances or aisles. Use PoE for reliable power and data delivery, set customized activity zones to reduce false alerts, and enable active defense only where audible and visible alarms are appropriate.
