Turret-camera Hikvision DS-2CD2387G3-LIY 8MP Smart-Hybrid-Licht 2,8mm objectief

Hikvision Turret Camera DS-2CD2387G3-LIY 8MP Smart Hybrid Light with a 2.8mm fixed lens is a compact surveillance camera designed for both indoor and outdoor monitoring. The camera captures 8MP high-resolution color images and integrates hybrid lighting to maintain image clarity in a range of lighting conditions. Its turret form factor allows discreet ceiling or wall mounting while delivering wide-angle coverage suitable for entrances, corridors and small outdoor areas.

Advantages

The device provides high-resolution 8MP imaging for detailed scene capture and facial or license plate clarity at moderate distances. Hybrid lighting adapts to low-light environments to preserve color information and reduce the need for additional infrared-only imaging. The fixed 2.8mm lens offers a broad field of view for general surveillance needs, and the turret housing simplifies installation on walls or ceilings. Built for continuous operation, the camera supports standard network cabling and common surveillance integration workflows.

Key specifications

• Image sensor resolution: 8 megapixels
• Lens: fixed 2.8 mm for wide-angle coverage
• Hybrid lighting: combined visible and low-light enhancement for color imaging in dim conditions
• Form factor: turret housing suitable for wall or ceiling mounting
• Environmental suitability: designed for indoor and outdoor use (weather-resistant housing)
• Network compatibility: standard IP network integration for video transmission and power over Ethernet option where supported

How to use

Mount the turret camera on a stable wall or ceiling surface using appropriate anchors and fasteners. Aim the 2.8mm lens to cover the intended area and verify the field of view on a connected monitoring device. Connect to the local IP network using Ethernet cabling and configure video settings via the camera’s web interface or compatible video management software. Adjust exposure and hybrid light settings as needed to optimize image color and clarity across varying lighting conditions. Ensure firmware is updated per manufacturer guidance and set up secure access credentials.

Recommendations

Position the camera to avoid direct sunlight or strong backlighting that can reduce image quality; for perimeter coverage, mount at sufficient height to prevent tampering while maintaining required identification detail. Regularly check lens cleanliness and confirm hybrid lighting performance in the expected nighttime conditions.
