Unmanaged switch Digitus 8-poorts Gigabit Ethernet 10/100/1000 metalen behuizing

The Digitus DN-80066-1 is an unmanaged 8-port Gigabit Ethernet switch designed to upgrade home and small office networks to full Gigabit speed. Housed in a compact metal enclosure, the switch offers eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports, a switching capacity of 16 Gbps and a forwarding rate that supports smooth data traffic. Its fanless design and low 5 W power consumption make it suitable for continuous, quiet operation.

Advantages

The switch provides ultra-fast network connections through eight adaptive Gigabit ports and supports MDI/MDIX auto-flip for easy connectivity to various devices. Installation is plug-and-play with no configuration required. Built with a robust metal housing and a 4K MAC address table with auto-learning and auto-aging, it delivers reliable and stable performance. The compact, fanless design ensures silent operation and low energy consumption.

Suitable for

• Home networks
• Small offices and SOHO environments
• Hotel and guest networks
• Campus and small branch networks

How to use

Place the switch on a stable surface or mount it where space allows, ensuring proper earthing if required. Connect network devices using standard Cat5e/Cat6 cables to any of the eight RJ45 ports; the ports automatically negotiate speed and MDI/MDIX, so no configuration is needed. Power the unit with the supplied adapter and verify link/activity LEDs to confirm connections. The switch operates as an unmanaged device and will forward traffic automatically using its MAC address table.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use Cat5e or Cat6 cabling, keep the switch in a ventilated area to avoid excessive ambient heat, and ensure proper grounding to protect against electrical surges. Regularly check cable quality and LED indicators to maintain a stable network.
