Unmanaged switch Rutenbeck 23510504

The Rutenbeck 23510504 is an unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch that delivers 10/100/1000 Mbps connectivity and integrated Power over Ethernet (PoE) capability. Designed for small networks and installations where simple plug-and-play operation is required, the switch provides multiple high-speed ports for wired devices and supplies power over standard Ethernet cabling to compatible endpoints such as IP cameras and VoIP phones. The device requires no configuration, making it suitable for environments where rapid deployment and reliable wired connections are needed.

Advantages

The switch combines full Gigabit throughput on copper ports with PoE support, enabling both data and power delivery over a single cable. Its unmanaged design removes the need for configuration or management software, reducing setup time and operational complexity. The compact form factor and standard Ethernet interface ensure compatibility with existing structured cabling and network devices. The device is intended to provide stable wired connectivity and continuous power to compatible devices in small office, retail, or residential networks.

How to use

Install the switch on a stable surface near your existing network infrastructure and connect it to a router or upstream switch using a standard Ethernet cable. Plug end devices into available Ethernet ports; PoE-capable ports will supply power automatically to compatible devices when connected. No software configuration is required—connected devices should obtain network connectivity according to the local network’s DHCP or static settings. Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit and verify power budget limits when connecting multiple PoE devices.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a dry, temperature-controlled environment and use shielded or unshielded twisted-pair cables of appropriate category (Cat5e or higher for Gigabit performance). Before installing multiple PoE devices, check the total available PoE power to avoid overloading the switch. For surveillance or voice applications, test each connected device to confirm both network connectivity and power delivery.
