USB-A-B-kabel Sharkoon 3,0 m met aluminium gevlochten

The USB A–B Cable Sharkoon 3.0 m with Aluminum Braid is a USB data cable designed to connect devices using a standard USB Type-A plug to a USB Type-B plug. With a length of 3.0 metres and a braided aluminum shield, the cable supports reliable data transfer between host ports and peripherals such as printers, scanners and external drives while offering enhanced mechanical protection and reduced electromagnetic interference.

Advantages

The aluminum braid shielding improves resistance to electromagnetic interference and provides additional mechanical durability compared with unshielded or basic-sheathed cables. A 3.0 m length enables flexible placement of devices without the need for close proximity to the host. Standard USB Type-A and Type-B connectors ensure compatibility with a wide range of office and home peripherals. The cable construction focuses on stable signal integrity over its length and practical protection for regular handling and routing.

Suitable for

• Connecting printers to desktop or laptop computers
• Linking scanners and multifunction devices to host systems
• Connecting external hard drives, archive burners and other Type-B peripherals
• Setups where extended cable reach is required without additional extenders

Key specifications

• Cable type: USB Type-A (male) to USB Type-B (male)
• Length: 3.0 metres
• Shielding: braided aluminum shield for EMI reduction and mechanical protection
• Typical use: data transfer and device connectivity for USB Type-B peripherals
• Connector housing: molded strain reliefs to reduce wear at terminations

How to use

Insert the USB Type-A plug into the host computer or hub and the USB Type-B plug into the peripheral device until both connectors are fully seated. Ensure connectors are aligned and do not force them. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, tight loops or pinching, and secure it using cable ties or clips if necessary to prevent movement and strain. For best performance, connect directly to a USB port on the computer or to a powered hub when using bus-powered devices.

Recommendations

Use the cable in environments free from excessive moisture and avoid exposure to prolonged mechanical stress. For critical data transfers or very long-term installations, periodically inspect the braid and connector ends for wear and replace the cable if any damage or intermittent connectivity appears.
