USB-C gender-changer ProXtend USBC-MICROBAS

The ProXtend USBC-MICROBAS is a USB-C to USB Micro B gender changer designed to bridge connections between modern USB-C hosts and devices that use a USB Micro B plug. Finished in a durable silver colour, the adapter provides a compact and lightweight solution for connecting older peripherals, charging cables or data lines to newer USB-C ports without replacing existing accessories.

Advantages

This gender changer offers a simple passive conversion between USB-C and USB Micro B connectors, maintaining a compact form factor that is easy to carry and integrate into existing setups. The silver finish adds a neutral aesthetic that matches a wide range of devices and cables. As a passive adapter, it requires no drivers or power source, allowing immediate use when physically compatible devices are connected.

Suitable for

• Connecting USB Micro B peripherals (external drives, cameras, older smartphones) to USB-C hosts
• Using legacy charging or data cables with newer USB-C laptops, tablets, or chargers
• Tech setups where temporary or occasional conversion between USB-C and Micro B is needed

Key specifications

• Connector 1: USB-C
• Connector 2: USB Micro B
• Product colour: Silver
• Form factor: Passive gender changer / adapter
• Physical dimensions: compact, lightweight design for portability

How to use

Insert the USB Micro B plug of the peripheral or cable into the Micro B side of the adapter, then connect the USB-C end of the adapter into the USB-C port of the host device. Ensure both connectors are fully seated before transferring data or charging. Because this is a passive adapter, verify that the devices being connected are electrically and functionally compatible — some combinations may only support charging or may not support specific data protocols.

Recommendations

Use the adapter for short-term or occasional connections and avoid subjecting it to heavy mechanical stress. For high-speed data transfer or complex device communication, confirm protocol compatibility between the USB-C host and the USB Micro B device. Keep the adapter dry and clean; disconnect when not in use to prevent wear on connectors.
