Compact Unitek H1208B USB-C hub expands a USB-C host with one high-speed USB-A port and three USB-A 2.0 ports. The hub has an integrated 0.20 m cable and aluminium housing, supports plug-and-play operation and provides up to 5000 Mbit/s on the high-speed port for connecting external drives, peripherals and charging/data tasks on laptops and tablets.

Advantages

The aluminium housing offers durability and improved heat dissipation while the short integrated cable keeps the hub close to the host device. One USB-A port supports up to 5 Gbit/s for high-bandwidth devices; three additional USB 2.0 ports provide compatibility with legacy peripherals. No drivers are required thanks to plug-and-play operation, and the compact dimensions make the hub easy to carry with mobile computers.

How to use

Connect the hub's USB-C cable to the USB-C port of your laptop or tablet. Plug USB-A devices into the available ports: use the high-speed USB-A port for external storage or other high-bandwidth peripherals and the USB 2.0 ports for keyboards, mice and low-speed accessories. The hub works without additional drivers on most modern operating systems; ensure devices are properly seated and powered if necessary.

Recommendations

For best performance with external drives, connect the drive to the 5 Gbit/s USB-A port and avoid using multiple high-bandwidth devices simultaneously. Keep the hub in a ventilated area to maintain optimal thermal conditions due to its aluminium housing.
