USB-C-naar-Gigabit-Ethernet-adapter Lenovo 5C11E09636 — USB-C-netwerkadapter, Gigabit (1000 Mbit/s)

Lenovo 5C11E09636 is a compact USB-C to Gigabit Ethernet adapter that enables a wired network connection through a USB-C port. Designed for laptops and tablets with USB-C, the adapter provides a Gigabit (1000 Mbps) Ethernet interface for stable, low-latency connectivity. It offers a simple plug-and-play solution for situations where wireless networks are unreliable or unavailable, supporting activities that require steady throughput such as large file transfers, video conferencing and streaming.

Advantages

The adapter delivers Gigabit Ethernet performance in a small, lightweight form factor that is easy to carry. It uses a USB-C connection for broad compatibility with modern notebooks and tablets and supports high-speed data transfers up to 1000 Mbps for reduced latency and improved stability compared with typical wireless connections. Its single-purpose design requires minimal setup and does not need an external power source, making it convenient for mobile use and quick network access.

Suitable for

• Connecting a laptop or tablet with USB-C to a wired office network
• Video conferencing and VoIP calls that require stable bandwidth
• Large file uploads and downloads where consistent throughput is important
• Streaming high-definition media without Wi‑Fi interruptions
• Temporary wired access in hotels, conference centers, or shared workspaces

Key specifications

• Interface: USB-C host connection
• Network standard: Gigabit Ethernet (1000 Mbps)
• Connector: RJ45 Ethernet port
• Data transfer: Full-duplex support for simultaneous send/receive
• Power: Bus-powered via USB-C (no external adapter required)
• Compatibility: Works with devices that provide USB-C with data support
• Form factor: Compact, portable dongle design

How to use

Plug the USB-C end of the adapter into a compatible USB-C port on your laptop or tablet. Connect an Ethernet cable from the adapter's RJ45 port to a router, switch, or wall network outlet. The operating system should detect the wired connection automatically; on some systems a driver installation or manual network configuration may be required. Once connected, confirm network settings in the system network panel and verify link speed and activity via the network icon or adapter status.

Recommendations

For best results, use a Cat5e or higher category Ethernet cable to achieve Gigabit speeds and minimize signal loss. When using on battery-powered devices, be aware that the adapter is bus-powered and may slightly increase power consumption. Ensure the USB-C port on the host device supports data transfer (not just power delivery) for network functionality.
