The Berkel BK-09-8799-600 vacuum sealer provides a compact, efficient solution for extending the shelf life of food by removing air and creating airtight seals. With an 8200 mbar vacuum capability and a 130 W motor, this model is designed for everyday kitchen use. The high vacuum level of 8200 mbar enables significant reduction of oxygen exposure, helping to slow spoilage and preserve flavors and textures. The 130 W power rating ensures stable operation during sealing cycles, while the stainless steel surfaces offer easy cleaning and resistance to wear. Compact dimensions and a balanced weight distribution make the device simple to move and store. The appliance is compatible with common vacuum bags and pouches, allowing versatile packaging options.

How to use

Place the open end of a compatible vacuum bag inside the sealing channel and position the product to be sealed so it sits entirely within the bag. Close the lid according to the device's alignment guides and start the vacuum cycle using the control appropriate for your intended result. The machine will extract air until the set vacuum level is reached and then apply the sealing heat to create an airtight closure. After the cycle finishes, wait a few seconds before removing the sealed pouch to ensure the seal has cooled and set properly.

Recommendations

Use suitable vacuum bags designed for food storage and ensure the bag edge is clean and free of food particles before sealing. For liquids or moist foods, pre-freeze or use liquid-trap techniques to avoid drawing liquid into the pump. Clean stainless steel surfaces and the sealing area regularly with a damp cloth and mild detergent, and allow to dry completely before use. Store the unit in a dry place away from direct heat sources when not in operation.
