Ventilator Alphacool Apex Stealth metaal 12 cm wit 400-2000 RPM 20-29.9 dB

The Alphacool Apex Stealth Metall 12 cm White is a case cooling fan designed for reliable airflow and low noise operation. With a rotational speed range of 400–2000 RPM and a maximum airflow of 76.81 CFM, this fan balances cooling performance and acoustic control. The white metal finish and compact 120 mm diameter suit modern PC builds where both appearance and effective ventilation matter. The fan uses a Hydro Dynamic Bearing for extended service life and stable operation, making it suitable for continuous use in desktop systems.

Advantages

The fan combines a wide RPM range with low measured noise levels, from about 20 dB at minimum speed up to 29.9 dB at maximum speed, allowing users to adjust between near-silent and high-performance cooling. The Hydro Dynamic Bearing reduces friction and wear, improving durability and reducing maintenance needs. The 120 mm form factor and metal construction support compatibility with standard case mounts while offering a robust build quality suited to long-term use.

Suitable for

• Case ventilation in desktop PCs and workstations
• Replacing or upgrading existing 120 mm case fans
• Cooling for moderate to high airflow needs in gaming and productivity systems
• Systems where a balance between low noise and performance is required

Key specifications

• Fan diameter: 120 mm
• Speed range: 400–2000 RPM
• Maximum airflow: 76.81 CFM
• Noise level range: approximately 20–29.9 dB
• Bearing type: Hydro Dynamic Bearing
• Color: White

How to use

Install the fan into a compatible 120 mm mounting location in the computer case, aligning airflow direction according to the case airflow plan. Secure the fan with screws supplied by the case or fan mounting hardware. Connect the fan to an appropriate motherboard header or fan controller that supports the fan's voltage and PWM or DC control. Adjust speed via BIOS, software, or a fan controller to achieve the desired balance between cooling and noise. Periodically check for dust accumulation and clean the blades using compressed air while the system is powered off.

Recommendations

For optimal results, use the fan as part of a coordinated airflow setup: intake fans at the front or bottom and exhaust fans at the rear or top. Set a moderate fan curve to keep noise below 30 dB during typical loads and allow higher RPM under heavy CPU/GPU usage. Regular cleaning and ensuring unobstructed airflow will preserve the Hydro Dynamic Bearing performance and extend service life.
