VEX 123 Playground interactieve robotmat & wanden

Young learners often struggle to grasp abstract coding concepts without a tangible, physical context. The VEX 123 Playground solves this by providing a colourful, durable mat and wall pieces that transform any floor into an interactive coding arena for the VEX 123 Robot. Children as young as four can physically see their code come to life as the robot navigates the grid, turns corners, and interacts with walls—making computational thinking concrete and engaging.

Who is it for

This accessory is ideal for educators, parents, and STEM facilitators working with children aged 4 and up in classrooms, homes, or STEM labs. It is perfect for introducing early coding, sequencing, and problem-solving skills through hands-on play. No prior coding experience is required, making it accessible for both teachers and young learners.

Tips

Start with simple sequencing activities: have children program the VEX 123 Robot to move from one corner of the mat to another, then introduce wall pieces to create mazes and obstacle courses. Encourage collaboration by connecting multiple playgrounds for group challenges. After use, fold the mat and stack the walls for neat storage.
