Video-intercom Hikvision DS-KV6133-WME1 2 MP zwart

The Hikvision DS-KV6133-WME1 2 MP Black video intercom system provides full HD video, two-way audio and weather-resistant construction for entrance control in residential and light-commercial settings. The unit supports H.264, H.265 and M-JPEG compression, delivers a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and offers a wide 129° horizontal field of view. Built-in night-vision capability extends reliable imaging up to approximately 2.5 meters, while an omnidirectional microphone and support for multiple voice codecs ensure clear audio communication. With an IP65 rating, the metal-and-plastic enclosure is designed for outdoor installation and continuous operation in variable weather.

Advantages

The device combines high-definition 2 MP imaging with efficient video compression options to reduce bandwidth and storage requirements without sacrificing image detail. Its wide-angle lens captures broad scenes at entrances, and integrated infrared illumination enables identification in low-light conditions within the specified range. The omnidirectional microphone improves voice pickup for clear two-way communication, and weatherproofing with an IP65 rating allows mounting in external locations. Support for common video formats and codecs increases compatibility with network video recorders and management platforms.

Suitable for

• Residential building entrances and small apartment complexes
• Small offices, reception areas and storefront entry points
• Gated entries and perimeter access control where weather resistance is required
• Integration with network video recorders and access control systems

How to use

Mount the intercom at a height that provides an unobstructed view of visitors, typically near the entry door or gate. Connect the unit to power and the local network following the manufacturer's wiring diagram and safety instructions. Configure video codec and resolution settings in the device web interface or management software to match available bandwidth and storage capacity. Pair the intercom with a compatible indoor monitor, mobile app or network video recorder for live view, two-way audio calls and recording. Test night-vision performance at typical ambient light levels and adjust mounting or angle if required.

Recommendations

For reliable outdoor operation, install the unit under a small overhang when possible to reduce direct exposure to heavy rain. Use H.265 compression where supported to save network bandwidth and storage while maintaining image quality; select H.264 or M-JPEG if compatibility with legacy systems is required. Periodically check and clear the camera view of debris or obstructions and verify firmware updates to ensure security and compatibility.
