Videodeurintercom DoorBird D2102KV — roestvrijstalen buitenunit, IP65, bewegingssensor 10 m, IR-LED, PoE (IEEE 802.3af), 10/100 Mbit/s, 131×383×49,6 mm

DoorBird D2102KV is a stainless steel outdoor video intercom designed for secure access control and visitor communication at entrances. The unit combines a weatherproof housing with an integrated camera, motion detection and IR illumination to capture visitors day and night while supporting Power over Ethernet for simplified installation. Compact dimensions (131×383×49.6 mm) make it suitable for both residential and commercial door panels.

Advantages

The stainless steel housing provides durable, corrosion-resistant protection suitable for outdoor mounting and complies with IP65 ingress protection to resist dust and water jets. Built-in motion detection with a 10 m range and IR LEDs enable reliable detection and image capture under low-light or night conditions. Support for Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af) and 10/100 Mbit/s Ethernet allows data and power transmission over a single cable, simplifying installation and reducing the need for separate power supplies.

Suitable for

• Residential entrance panels and single-family homes
• Small commercial buildings and office entrances
• Gates and secured perimeter access points

Connect the unit to the network via a Cat5e/6 cable to a PoE-enabled switch or injector to provide both power and data. Configure network settings and access permissions using the DoorBird management interface or app, and test motion detection and IR illumination to verify reliable detection and clear images under expected lighting conditions.

Recommendations

For durable long-term outdoor performance, install the unit under a small cover or canopy where possible to reduce direct exposure to driving rain. Use a PoE switch that meets IEEE 802.3af standards and ensure network infrastructure provides sufficient bandwidth for video streams. Periodically check the stainless steel surface for deposits and clean with non-abrasive agents to maintain appearance and corrosion resistance.
