Videokabel-adapter ShiverPeaks SP77481 1,5 m HDMI type A DVI-D blauw chroom

The ShiverPeaks SP77481 1.5m HDMI Type A to DVI-D cable adapter provides a direct wired connection between HDMI-equipped source devices and DVI-D displays. The 1.5 metre length balances reach and signal integrity for desktop and AV installations. Constructed with standard HDMI Type A and single-link DVI-D terminations, this adapter transmits digital video signals without converting formats, enabling clear image reproduction on compatible monitors, projectors and TVs. The blue and chrome finish offers a discreet aesthetic for professional and home setups.

Advantages

This adapter supports native digital video transmission between HDMI and DVI-D ports, avoiding analog conversion and preserving image clarity. The 1.5 m cable length is long enough for typical desk-to-monitor or small AV cabinet runs while remaining compact for cable management. Gold-plated contacts and molded connectors ensure stable connections and reduce contact corrosion over time. The cable is compatible with a wide range of HDMI source devices and DVI-D displays, providing a straightforward plug-and-play solution without additional drivers.

Suitable for

• Connecting laptops or desktop PCs with HDMI output to DVI-D monitors
• Linking media players or set-top boxes to DVI-D displays
• Connecting projectors with DVI-D input to HDMI sources for presentations
• Small AV installations and home entertainment setups where digital video only is required

Key specifications

• Cable length: 1.5 m
• Connector A: HDMI Type A (male)
• Connector B: DVI-D (single-link, male)
• Signal type: Digital video (no analog DVI-A/VGA conversion)
• Colour: Blue with chrome accents
• Construction: Molded connectors with contact plating for improved reliability

How to use

Power off both source and display devices before connecting to avoid hot-plug issues. Insert the HDMI Type A plug firmly into the source device's HDMI output and connect the DVI-D plug to the display's DVI-D input, ensuring correct alignment of the connector. After both ends are secured, power on the display and then the source. Configure output resolution and refresh rate on the source device to match the DVI-D display capabilities; note that DVI-D single-link supports common resolutions such as 1920×1080 at 60 Hz. No additional drivers are required in most setups.

Recommendations

Use this adapter where only digital video is needed; audio will not be carried over the DVI-D connection. For longer runs or higher-resolution single-link limitations, consider verifying display resolution support or using a dual-link DVI or native HDMI connection where necessary. Keep connectors free of dust and avoid sharp bends near the cable ends to maintain performance and longevity.
