The DeLOCK 84904 video cable adapter connects a USB Type-C or Thunderbolt 3 port that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode to an HDMI monitor or TV. It is 1 m long with a compact, black cable of 3.7 mm diameter, providing a straightforward wired solution for transmitting high-definition video and audio from laptops, tablets or other compatible devices.

Advantages

The adapter requires a USB-C/Thunderbolt 3 port with DisplayPort Alternate Mode, avoiding the need for separate converters or external power. Its 1 m length balances reach and portability for desktop or mobile use.

How to use

Plug the USB Type-C connector into a device port that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode (for example a MacBook or Chromebook). Connect the HDMI plug to the HDMI input of a monitor, TV or projector. The display should be recognised automatically by the host operating system; adjust display settings (resolution, mirroring or extended desktop) in system preferences as needed.

Recommendations

Use with devices whose USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port explicitly supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode. For optimal results, ensure the monitor or TV supports the desired resolution and refresh rate; avoid excessive bending near the connectors to prolong cable life.
