Videosignaalconverter DeLOCK 62783

The DeLOCK 62783 video signal converter converts analogue SCART video and audio signals to a digital HDMI output, enabling connection of devices such as VCRs or game consoles to HDMI monitors or Full HD TVs. The device also includes an HDMI input so it can function as a simple switch. The converter supports scaling to 720p or 1080p at 50 or 60 Hz via its integrated video processor and outputs audio simultaneously through HDMI, S/PDIF and an analogue stereo jack. The compact metal housing and 1 m cable make it suitable for permanent installations and portable setups, and the wide input voltage range (100–240 V) allows use in various regions.

Advantages

The converter provides multi-format compatibility, handling analogue standards such as NTSC, PAL and SECAM and converting them to HDMI up to Full HD (1920 x 1080). It offers flexible connectivity with both SCART and HDMI inputs and three audio output options (HDMI, digital S/PDIF and analogue stereo jack). Integrated scaling and a choice of 720p or 1080p output at 50/60 Hz simplify integration with different displays. The metal housing and universal input voltage add durability and installation flexibility.

Suitable for

• Connecting VCRs, DVD players or classic game consoles with SCART outputs to HDMI monitors or TVs
• Using older analogue sources with modern Full HD displays
• Simple A/V switching between an analogue SCART source and an HDMI source

How to use

Connect the analogue SCART source to the SCART input and/or connect a digital source to the HDMI input, then connect the HDMI output to the TV or monitor. Select the desired input using the device controls so the integrated processor can scale the signal to the required output resolution (720p or 1080p) and refresh rate (50 or 60 Hz). Ensure the unit is powered from a compatible mains outlet (100–240 V). Audio is passed through the selected HDMI output and is simultaneously available via S/PDIF and the analogue stereo jack.

Recommendations

For best picture quality, match the converter output (720p or 1080p) and refresh rate (50/60 Hz) to the native resolution and frequency of the connected monitor or TV. Use a high-quality HDMI cable and ensure secure SCART connections to minimise signal loss or interference.
