Wandschakelaarmodule JUNG 509 VU — elektrische schakelaar-inzet van JUNG, model 509 VU

JUNG 509 VU is an electrical wall switch insert designed to provide a reliable switching mechanism for modular wall frames. The unit fits into compatible JUNG mounting systems and delivers basic on/off control for lighting circuits and other switched loads in residential and commercial installations. The product features screwless terminals for rigid conductors up to 2.5 mm and a mechanical interlock that prevents both rockers from being switched simultaneously.

Advantages

The switch insert offers tool-free screwless terminals that simplify wiring of rigid wires up to 2.5 mm, reducing installation time and ensuring a secure conductor connection. Its mechanical interlocking enhances safety by preventing accidental simultaneous actuation of both rockers. The compact modular design is compatible with standard wall frames and supports straightforward replacement or upgrade of existing switch elements.

Suitable for

• Residential lighting circuits and room switches
• Commercial interior lighting where modular inserts are required
• Retrofit and upgrade projects using compatible JUNG frames
• Environments requiring secure wiring with rigid conductors up to 2.5 mm

Key specifications

• Mounting type: modular wall switch insert for compatible frame systems
• Connection: screwless terminals for rigid wires up to 2.5 mm
• Actuation: two rockers with mechanical interlock to prevent simultaneous switching
• Application: on/off switching for lighting and similar circuits
• Suitable environments: residential and commercial electrical installations

How to use

Install the JUNG 509 VU into a compatible modular frame following local electrical regulations. Prepare rigid conductors to the recommended length and insert them into the screwless terminals until secured. Ensure the mechanical interlock is operational by testing that both rockers cannot be switched at the same time. After wiring, mount the cover plate or rocker frames and verify correct operation of the connected circuit before restoring power.

Recommendations

Use only with compatible JUNG frames and cover plates. Ensure wiring and installation are performed by a qualified electrician and that the conductors are rigid wires within the specified cross-section. Regularly check mechanical operation during maintenance to confirm the interlock functions correctly.
