Waterlek- en overstromingssensor Extralink Smart Life Water Sensor — draadloze waterstand-/overstromingsmelder

Extralink Smart Life Water Sensor is a compact wireless detector designed to identify the presence of water and rising water levels in domestic and commercial spaces. The sensor integrates with the Smart Life ecosystem to provide remote alerts and automation, enabling fast response to leaks and potential flood situations. Its small footprint makes it suitable for placement near appliances, drains, under sinks, and in basements or bathrooms where water damage risk is highest.

Advantages

The sensor offers reliable water detection through contact probes that trigger immediate notifications when moisture is present. Wireless communication with the Smart Life app allows for real-time alerts, automation routines and integration with other smart devices. Its compact housing and low-profile design make installation flexible, and the device operates on low power for long-term monitoring with minimal maintenance.

Suitable for

• Monitoring under sinks and around plumbing fixtures
• Protection near washing machines, dishwashers and water heaters
• Basement and cellar flood detection
• Bathrooms, showers and utility rooms

Key specifications

• Detection method: surface/contact water sensing probes
• Connectivity: wireless integration with Smart Life ecosystems and compatible smart home hubs
• Power source: battery-operated for placement without wiring
• Form factor: compact, low-profile housing suitable for floor or shelf placement
• Alerts: mobile push notifications and local alarm integration via Smart Life app

How to use

Place the sensor on a flat surface at the lowest expected point where water would collect, such as next to appliance drains, under sinks or along basement floors. Pair the device with the Smart Life app following the manufacturer's pairing procedure to enable notifications and automatic actions. Ensure the contact probes are in direct contact with the surface and avoid placing the unit in permanent standing water; raise or reposition it if coverage needs to be extended. Replace batteries according to the app indicators or regular maintenance schedule to maintain reliable operation.

Recommendations

For effective coverage, install one sensor at each distinct risk area and test the alarm and notification flow after installation. Keep the sensor and its probes clean from debris and corrosion. Use the Smart Life app to create routines that shut off water valves or notify building occupants when a leak is detected.
